2016 is ending time to forgive self….

A time comes when we need to forgive ourselves for once accepting less than what we  deserved. For letting ghosts into our heart; for kissing mouths that were weapons when we thought they were roses.

We need to forgive ourselves for giving  someone who did not know what to do with the brevity of our soul, who did not know what to do with the weight of our bones under all of the feeling we held within us.

It’s time now to forgive self for trying and for believing from heart so ruthlessly that when the other said “I love you”it  meant the other is saying “I’ll stay.”

For the ones who didn’t fight to stay,  for the ones who made us feel like we were not worthy of being loved the way we loved others.

We need to love ourselves again, treat self with respect and open the heart again.
